Vespa introduced the Primavera in 2013 as the successor to the LX.
In 2014 the 'sporty' Sprint version was introduced. 125cc versions were introduced with Piaggios 3-valve LEM engine. The LEM engine was replaced in 2016 with Piaggio's i-Get engine. Early 50cc 4T versions used Piaggio's 4-valve HI-PER4 engine, from 2017 these have been introduced with the 3-Valve i-Get engine. The Primavera (Italian for spring) and Sprint take their names from Vespa's successful smallframe series.
