The Piaggio NRG MC3 was introduced in 2001 as the successor to the NRG MC2.
The MC3 features Piaggio's 50cc 2-stroke HI-PER2 as either air-cooled or liquid cooled. Some models of the MC3 were fitted with electronic fuel injection, these models were known as the NRG MC3 Purejet, other models of the MC3 used a traditional carburettor system. The MC3 features a front hydraulic disc brake, some models of the MC3 feature a rear hydraulic disc brake (these models were known as the NRG MC3 DD), other models used a rear cable-operated drum brake (NRG MC3 DT). In 2005 the NRG Power was introduced and the production of the MC3 ceased.uction of the MC3 ceased.
