Scooter headlights are generally not designed for high speed use and very rarely kick up to the left or the right and therefore go through MOT without problem irregardless of whether they were initially designed for a right or left hand drive market. It's only the much more expensive (and faster) bikes that have 'proper' headlights where you see the design allowing for a kick up on one side.

Both the lens and the reflector are plastic.
