With scooters restricted via the CDI, it is possible to achieve higher RPMs and top speed by simply connecting a new ignition unit, such as this de-restricted one offered by Motoforce Racing.
The original CDI ignition unit is simply and easily replaced with this version.

Fits Minarelli based engines including early Aerox (up to '03) and most Chinese and CPI 2-stroke.

Attention: to make sure you choose the right version, please compare your scoot's CDI with the one in the picture.

NOTES: This will also fit most 50cc 2-stroke Chinese quads but please note that on Chinese scooters the CDI spark is killed when the black/white CDI wire is earthed (the CDI will therefore spark with the black/white wire disconnected).
Most Chinese quads are wired the other way around so as the black/white wire is earthed when the quad is running so you may have to wire up your own kill switch.

Chinese 2-strokes sometimes use a blue/white wire instead of red/white for the pickup, in this case just connect the CDI blue/white to the moped red/white.
